1. Your Rights Under GDPR

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you comprehensive rights over your personal data. As a user of Describelio, you have the following eight fundamental rights:

  • Right of access — know what data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — have your data deleted
  • Right to data portability — export your data
  • Right to restriction of processing — limit how we use your data
  • Right to object — object to certain types of processing
  • Right to withdraw consent — revoke previously given consent
  • Right to lodge a complaint — file a complaint with a supervisory authority

We have designed Describelio to make exercising these rights as simple as possible. Most rights can be exercised directly from your dashboard.

2. Right of Access

You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you and how we use it.

How to exercise this right:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy & Data in your dashboard
  • Click Download My Data
  • You will receive a JSON file containing all your personal data: profile information, shops, products, refresh logs, automation settings, and consent records

The export is generated instantly and includes all data associated with your account.

3. Right to Rectification

You have the right to correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you.

How to exercise this right:

  • Go to Settings in your dashboard to update your display name, language, and currency preferences
  • Go to Settings > Privacy & Data to update your company name, preferred language, and country code
  • Shop names and configurations can be edited from the Shops section

Changes are saved immediately.

4. Right to Erasure

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data and account. At Describelio, account deletion is immediate and irreversible.

How to exercise this right:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy & Data in your dashboard
  • Click Delete My Account
  • Confirm by entering your password

What happens when you delete your account:

  • Your profile and all personal information are permanently deleted
  • All connected shops and their credentials are removed
  • All product data and refresh logs are deleted
  • All automation settings are removed
  • Any active Stripe subscription is canceled
  • Vault-stored API keys and tokens are securely erased

This action cannot be undone. Please download your data before deleting your account if you need a copy.

5. Right to Data Portability

You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.

How to exercise this right:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy & Data

  • Your data is exported as a single JSON file that can be read by any text editor or imported into other systems

The export includes: your profile, shops, products, refresh logs, automation settings, and consent records.

6. Right to Object and Restrict Processing
