What is Describelio?
Describelio is an AI-powered SaaS that automatically refreshes product descriptions in your e-commerce store. It connects to your platform via API, rewrites descriptions with SEO-optimized copy, and pushes updated content back — all on a continuous schedule.
Which platforms are supported?
Describelio supports Magento 2, PrestaShop, Shopify, and Shoper. You can connect multiple stores from different platforms to a single Describelio account.
How does the AI rewrite work?
Describelio fetches your current product description, extracts any media elements (images, videos, iframes), rewrites the text using GPT for SEO optimization, re-injects the media in their original positions, and pushes the updated description back to your store.
Will my product images be affected?
No. All media elements — images, videos, iframes, and embedded content — are carefully preserved in their original positions. Only the text content is rewritten.
What happens to my existing descriptions?
Your existing descriptions are rewritten with fresh, SEO-optimized content. You can view the history of all refreshes in Dashboard > Logs, including timestamps and status for each refresh.
How does the Free plan work?
The Free plan includes 5 manual product refreshes per month. You can connect stores and refresh products on demand, but automated scheduling is not available on the Free plan.
What is automation?
Automation is available on Pro and Max plans. It automatically refreshes your products on a recurring schedule within your billing cycle. Products are refreshed one by one in a circular queue until the monthly quota is reached.
How is my data protected?
Describelio is GDPR compliant. Your data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS). Our primary database is hosted in the EU (Supabase, Frankfurt). You can download or delete all your data at any time from Settings > Privacy & Data.
Can I change my subscription plan?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from Settings > Billing. Changes take effect immediately, and unused time is prorated. Billing is handled securely through Stripe.
What languages are product descriptions written in?
The AI auto-detects the language of your existing product description and generates the refreshed copy in the same language. Describelio supports 20 languages for both the application interface and product content.
