Automation Guide
Learn how Describelio’s automation feature works, including schedule calculation, the circular queue, quotas, and monitoring.
What is Automation?
Pro and Max plans include automated product description refresh. Instead of manually refreshing products one by one, the system automatically refreshes products on a calculated schedule within your billing cycle. This keeps your store content continuously fresh for Google’s freshness signals.
How the Schedule Works
The refresh interval is calculated based on your plan limit and billing period. The formula distributes refreshes evenly across your billing cycle:
interval = billing_period_days / plan_limit (in hours between refreshes)
Example: Pro plan (30 products/month), 30-day billing period = 1 product every 24 hours.
Circular Queue
Products are refreshed in order, one at a time. After all products in a shop have been refreshed, the cycle starts again from the beginning. New products added mid-cycle are appended to the end of the queue and will be included in the next pass.
Enabling Automation
Go to Dashboard > Automation and toggle automation on for each shop. Automation requires a Pro or Max plan. If you downgrade to Free, automation is paused automatically.
Quota and Limits
Each plan has a monthly refresh quota. Automation stops when the quota is reached and resumes when a new billing cycle begins.
- Free: 5 manual refreshes per month (no automation)
- Pro: 30 refreshes per month (automation included)
- Max: 100 refreshes per month (automation included)
Monitoring
Check the status of automation for each shop in Dashboard > Automation. View detailed refresh history, including timestamps, success/failure status, and token usage in Dashboard > Logs.
